Part 1: Why does a project get stuck, and is it possible to avoid it? There are many reasons why film or TV projects get stuck or abandoned, so we’ll first look at why you might find yourself in this situation and share some practical development tips in order to avoid this in the first place.
Part 2: How can you get a project “unstuck”? This is the one-million dollar question! From a script development point of view, it usually comes down to two things: making the difference between story structure and story format, and working on the story rather than on the screenplay / pitch deck.
Part 3: How to work on the story when the pitch deck / screenplay doesn’t work? This is where the “12 Ways to a Stronger Series” come in: There are twelve key areas in script development that can lead to a stronger series.
