We are delighted to announce that 35 experienced storytellers (writers, directors, producers, story editors) have been selected for Writing a Successful Comedy, an advanced script development workshop commissioned by Northern Ireland Screen.

Most of the selected participants met online today during a live onboarding session, in the presence of Ursula Devine (Northern Ireland Screen) who warmly introduced the workshop before Emmanuel Oberg’s presentation. This started a month-long process during which participants will prepare, before the workshop itself starts in November 2026.
