We feel privileged to have been so active in Ireland over the last few years thanks to continuing support from Screen Ireland, CCIS, CED Galway and other partners, but we are receiving frequent queries about live workshops from international storytellers and filmmakers, who are understandably quite envious of their Irish friends!
To see if we can respond to these requests, we’d like to gauge whether there is enough demand to fund international online workshops, which would add a live element (Q&A and hands-on groupwork sessions) to our interactive online courses. The working language would be English.
We’d kick things off with an Advanced Script Development Workshop, possibly in June 2026. After that, we could run some genre add-ons—thriller, comedy, TV series, animation—depending on what participants are most interested in. The cost would be roughly GBP 350 / EUR 395 / USD 475 per person, per workshop, depending on the number of participants and the specific session.
This amount would be reduced to around GBP 250 / EUR 295 / USD 350 for those who have already purchased the corresponding online course. We could also offer optional project feedback—such an advanced script chat after each workshop—for an additional fee.
Instead of asking individual participants to cover the costs, we would like to engage with a few national or regional film and TV funds, training organisations, independent producers or studios outside of Ireland who might want to finance their own mini-cohort to attend an online workshop alongside others, so feel free to forward this information to anyone who might be interested.
In this way, each funding partner can reduce costs compared to commissioning a full workshop exclusively for their audience (as we have done many times in the past, see partial list here).
There is no commitment at this stage, but we really like the idea of creating workshops for international participants and encouraging networking between fellow creatives from different countries.
