Behind the Scenes: What’s New on the SCREENPLAY Unlimited Platform

Over the past few months, we’ve been making a series of improvements to screenplayunlimited.com — quietly, in the background, while the workshops and courses continued as normal. The aim throughout has been simple: to make the experience smoother, more modern, and less likely to get in your way. Here’s what’s changed.

Logging in without the friction

Remembering passwords is nobody’s favourite part of the day. We’ve now introduced two new ways to access your account that remove that problem entirely.

  • The first is social login. New users can now register directly using their Google or Facebook account. If you already have an account with us, you can use social login too — provided your Google or Facebook account uses the same email address as your SCREENPLAY Unlimited account. You’ll also need to be logged into that social account before signing in here, though for most people that’s already the case. If it is, signing in is instant: one click and you’re in. We’re thinking about adding more social login options, such as through LinkedIn and Apple accounts, so please let us know if you’d like us to add one of these.
  • The second is magic login: request a secure link sent to your email address, click it, and you’re in. No password required.

A cleaner, more modern account experience

We’ve rebuilt the checkout and account area from the ground up. The new system is cleaner and more straightforward to navigate. If you are a registered member, you now have a dedicated dashboard where everything lives in one place: your purchase history (including subscriptions) and your downloads. You can access it directly at screenplayunlimited.com/account, or via the “Your Account” option in the Membership menu.

If you have an active subscription on the previous system, you’ll also see a “Legacy Subscriptions” section below the new dashboard — that’s where you can continue to manage that subscription for as long as it remains active.

Changes that came directly from your feedback

Participants of our 2026 Series Rewrite Workshop

Over the last few months, participants in our workshops told us what was and wasn’t working for them. We listened, and here are three of the many improvements that came out of those conversations.

  • The first is a simpler onboarding process when you join a new workshop group — fewer steps, direct access to your group page, a cleaner start.
  • The second is smarter links throughout the platform. If you’re already logged in and follow a link to a resource, you’ll land directly where you need to be. If you’re not logged in yet, the system will remember where you were headed and take you there once you are. It sounds like a small thing, but it removes a surprising amount of friction.
  • The third is a cleaner layout for group pages, with a clear checklist of what to do and where to go, and all the workshop documentation available as a single download. This will be rolled out for all new groups going forward and should be available soon to premium subscribers.

We won’t stop there…

These changes are part of a longer process. We’re committed to making the platform work better for everyone who uses it, and your feedback shapes what we prioritise next.

We’re particularly curious to hear how the social login and magic login are working in practice. So if you’ve tried either, do let us know what you think, or kindly flag anything that isn’t working as it should.

For any other questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
